Our program encourages a love of learning by creating an environment where children learn through play.
Play is a natural learning process and allows your child to develop a strong foundation for academic success.
Simi Covenant Preschool provides a developmentally appropriate preschool and pre-kindergarten program.
Our teachers work as a team to create an environment that is relaxed, safe, and nurturing.
They listen, observe, and document the children’s interests then integrate those interests into the curriculum. They plan and guide your child’s growth. During the day there are opportunities for your child to work in a variety of settings:
Teacher directed activities
Classroom centers allow your child to make choices about the activities that they want to join.
Writing with a variety of implements
Science and math activities
Manipulative and cognitive toys
Puzzles and blocks
Sensory experiences such as sand, rice, and water
Our large beautiful yard provides an outdoor classroom for your child where they
can climb the fort with a friend, plant seeds in the garden, or just ride a tricycle.
Physical movement is positive linked to brain development.
Outdoor play includes:
Large and small motor skills
Bible stories and Christian music are used in the classroom.
While specific church doctrine is not taught, simple Bible truths are presented in an age appropriate way.
Chapel for the entire school is held on special occasions and you are invited to join us on these days.
“Most children coming into kindergarten now are missing the most important ‘higher level thinking’ but children we see coming from Simi Covenant Preschool are well rounded, both academically and socially.”
